If you are an individual, your ALE Adviser will be able to help you choose the type of cheques which best suits your needs. The adviser will also support you in your dealings with Edenred (the company that issues ALE cheques).
- Registered ALE Cheques
Registered ALE cheques are labelled with the name of the user and must be ordered from Edenred (minimum order of 10 cheques).
The cheques cost €7.45 each and entitle you to a tax benefit (see below).
- Non- registered ALE Cheques
Non-registered ALE cheques are sold in ALE offices of the City of Brussels (no minimum order).
The cheques cost €5.95 each and do not entitle you to a tax benefit.
These cheques are intended for users who will make occasional use of ALE cheques or in the case of immediate need.
- Tax benefit of registered ALE cheques
Registered ALE cheques entitle the holder to a tax reduction of 30%, calculated on the total amount paid annually for ALE cheques.
This amount is limited to €1,570 for all ALE cheques and Service vouchers purchased in 2022 (2023 tax year).
